Healthy Power breakfast of Bircher Muesli

Serves: 4 small servings topped with fruit
  • 1½ cups rolled oats
  • 4 tablespoons coconut flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons ground mixed seeds comprising linseed, sunflower, pumpkin
  • 2 tablespoons ground raw almonds or slithered almonds
  • 1 Tablespoon Agave syrup or honey
  • 125ml apple juice
  • 1 cup natural yoghurt
  • Cinnamon to taste
  1. Pour the apple juice over the oats and leave in the fridge overnight.
  2. Grind seeds in a blender, and then grind the almonds, or leave them slithered as you prefer . They are more easily digested if ground.
  3. Combine oats, coconut, seeds , almonds and cinnamon in a bowl.
  4. Add the yoghurt and drizzle with agave syrup.
  5. Top with fresh fruit of your choice.
